Licensed Master Social Worker
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). I received my Bachelors of Social Work from the University of West Florida and Masters of Social Work from the University of Southern Illinois in Edwardsville. I grew up in a military family and lived in various parts of the United States and Europe. I have lived in Kansas since 2012. I have been working as a social worker for almost 20 years now. In my years of traveling, I have met with and worked with people from all kinds of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. I have worked with children and families in a variety of settings such as foster care, schools, community, justice system, and residential. I use a mixture of approaches when helping others with their mental health needs. We all may experience the same things in life, but that experience will affect us differently. The main approaches I do utilize quite a bit are client center, systems approach, strength-based approach, and mindfulness, and solution focus.
