Chris Grisafe-Pont
Chris believes therapy works best as a team effort—with clear goals, parent collaboration, and tools kids can practice between sessions. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Process Therapy, and play-based approaches, he tailors each plan to the client’s age, strengths, and attention needs. He’s especially experienced with anxiety, depression/mood concerns, trauma, and ADHD/executive-function challenges (organization, impulse control, task initiation). He also supports families through assessment/psychological testing, translating results into practical school and home strategies.
A first-generation college graduate, Chris earned his Bachelor’s degree from Rockhurst University and completed his graduate training at Washburn University, where he shaped a style that is compassionate, collaborative, and adaptable. Sessions balance skill-building with genuine relationship—so clients feel understood while they learn to cope, communicate, and achieve their goals.
