Simone is a Kansas City native and Licensed Master’s Level Psychologist who received her Master of Arts Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Clinical Skills from Washburn University.
She utilizes a collaborative approach in working with individuals and couples. She believes you are the expert of your own life and that you should play an active role in your therapeutic journey. She is passionate about using evidence-based treatment approaches to assist her clients in maximizing their psychological health.
She has gained valuable experience working with adults, adolescents, and couples in a psychiatric residential treatment facility, an inpatient hospital, and a community mental health setting. She is also passionate about working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
She has received extensive training in various psychotherapy techniques including but not limited to, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) , Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy (IBCT), Interpersonal Processing Therapy (IPT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She has also received extensive training in facilitating psychological assessments including, diagnostic assessments, personality assessments, and intelligence testing.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, organizing her home, and spending quality time with friends and family.
