Khris was a dual sport college athlete who received his Master of Arts Degree in counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University.
In therapy, Khris utilizes a collaborative humanistic approach that focuses on a mind-body balance and is tailored for each individual client. Khris utilizes several approaches to therapy that include, but are not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TBCBT), Emotion Focused therapy (EFT), Client Centered, Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Brainspotting, and Bio-Neurofeedback. Khris is a devoted lifelong learner who will often incorporate the new skills he has developed into sessions. Khris believes in utilizing empirically based treatment modalities to best assist his clients in reaching their goals. Khris loves working with all types of clients from individuals to couples and families as well as children. Khris’ experience as an athlete allows him to have insights into the mind of the athlete, which can help optimize their performance.
Khris has gained invaluable experience working with children, teens, and families in a Psychiatric residential treatment facility, as well as an Intensive outpatient program. He is very passionate about helping clients be the best they can be and reach their full potential either individually or as a couple.
In his free time, he likes to smoke meat, work out, and play with his family.
